Galantis Announce New Album and Also Cancel Shows Due To Injury

Just recently, Swedish duo Galantis announced their upcoming 2020 album ‘Church’. On top of this, they let their fans know that they would be cancelling upcoming shows ‘until further notice’ due to an injury sustained by Christian.

Galantis have grown significantly after coming together as a duo. They’ve had some massive global hits and multiple records surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify. They have now revealed their next endeavour, coming of the back of their latest single together with Dolly Parton and Mr. Probz. The album was teased in a tweet, viewable below. The tweet is a false representation of the definition of ‘Church’, with the third line simply stating; ‘Album 2020’.

The reasoning behind the tweet was to push people towards churchofgalantis.com – their new site. This allows fans to connect with Galantis through text message, something that has trended lately with musicians and other notable individuals. This will likely be a marketing tool to let fans be in the know regarding the upcoming album.

On a more sour note, Galantis will be cancelling all their upcoming shows until further notice. Christian Karlsson of Galantis unfortunately sustained two torn ligaments whilst performing in Seoul, Korea last weekend.

You can read the statement below where Christian says he is heartbroken and looking forward to his recovery. We join him in hoping for a speedy recovery and to see them back on the road once again.
