Adam Beyer has officially announced Explorer Vol. 1, his first studio album in more than 20 years. Set for release on June 13, 2025, via Drumcode, the album features 16 tracks and includes collaborations with Chris Avantgarde, Max Styler, Layton Giordani, Julian Jeweil, and HNTR. The title suggests it could be the beginning of a larger series, marking a new phase for one of techno’s most influential figures.
Beyer has described Explorer Vol. 1 as a personal project, incorporating themes of science fiction alongside his signature techno sound. The album reflects his evolving creative vision, blending hard-hitting rhythms with futuristic textures. The lead single, “Explorer,” is already out, delivering a dark, driving energy that sets the tone for the full release.
The announcement comes as Beyer gears up for a series of major performances, including a b2b set with Vintage Culture at Drumsheds in London on March 22 and the upcoming Drumcode 30th anniversary celebrations in 2026.
With a tracklist packed with high-profile collaborations and a renewed creative focus, Explorer Vol. 1 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated techno releases of the year.
