Must-See Panels At ADE 2019: Mental Health, Sustainability, Playlist Curation & Industry Careers

Amsterdam Dance Event is just around the corner. With all the night and day events being locked in – we can now schedule out our plans. As usual, the conference packs a lot of panels to both educate and entertain the attendees. Take a look below to see some of the highlights across the week. All panels taking place at ADE will be accessible with the ADE Pass.

STUDIO XL – Thur, Fri, Sat

ADE Soundlab’s STUDIO XL initiative holds intimate artist panels during the conference. The sessions bring you up close and personal with leading artists as they delve into their production process. NGHTMRE, San Holo and Mike Williams are on the program this year and have all achieved success on a remarkable level and can provide unique insight and tips that could help you take your craft to the next level.

How to Land a Job in the Music Industry

Thinking of working in music? At this panel you can find out how the best music companies think. Learn more about some of the key roles and get some tips on what you can do to get a foot in the door. The line up consists of a range of established individuals such as Insomniac Booker Anaïs d’Olivat, Kobalt Publishing’s Senior Creative Director Dominique Keegan, Deezer’s Global Artist Relations Manager Junior Forster, NGHTMRE’s Manager Will Runzel and BPM Festival’s Elizabeth Cyprian. If you are looking for a career in the music business other than being an artist, then this is a must attend panel.

This panel will no doubt dive into these curators who have amassed a huge following based on the music they love.

Healthy Mind, Healthy Party?

In the past few years, issues throughout the music industry have come to light. After the sad passing of Avicii, many other artists opened up about mental health difficulties they have faced both on the road and at home. In this panel, artists such as Julian Jordan and Jay Hardway will discuss the mental health issues and pressures that many artists face throughout the industry.

Plastic Promise: The Next Steps towards Responsible Plastic Use

As the ambassador for Plastic Promise, Sam Feldt is very passionate when it comes to issues such as single use plastics and climate change as a whole. The Plastic Promise initiative was created at last ADE by Dutch event companies. This initiative has now been employed at festival grounds. The panel will delve into the troubles with plastic as well as sharing results around the new initiative.
