It’s not often that two legends in a genre decide to team up, but ‘One Last Time’ is the product of exactly that. Cementing Alesso’s return to his progressive house routes, his latest Dubvision collaboration features his signature sound design amidst charming vocals and a mesmerizing melody.
Although both artists have produced radio-oriented tunes before, ‘One Last Time’ is clearly meant for mainstage play. Percussion rings prominently throughout the track, with a crooning bassline underscoring the vocals and harmonies. The lead is sparkly and crisp, which imbues purposeful energy into the drop. Of course, as is necessary in any viral progressive house tune, the vocal topline is simply indelible.
The tune proves why Alesso’s progressive house undertakings are so sought after; as Alesso says, “‘One Last Time’ is a song I think my day one fans are going to really enjoy. I’m very excited to start the year off with a big dance record!”
Although you might not be able to hear this at Miami anymore, ‘One Last Time’ is sure to receive loads of festival play in the coming months.
