Aluna & SG Lewis Combine Forces For The Second Time On ‘Warrior’

Aluna from AlunaGeorge has recently stepped away from the duo to focus on her solo career. After releasing ‘Body Pump’ not long ago, she has today teamed up with SG Lewis for her second single ‘Warrior’.

This isn’t the first time Aluna and SG Lewis have worked together, they collided on ‘Hurting’, which landed in SG Lewis’ 2018 EP Dark. ‘Hurting’ is an amazing release that has over 17.5 million streams on Spotify.

Aluna has been sure to clarify that whilst she is focusing on her own brand right now, AlunaGeorge is not over. Aluna is set to release a debut album through Mad Decent, which should included the two already released tracks.

Having enjoyed being the main ingredient to many successful dance records, I started wanting to create the whole dish. In the past when performing on the stages of my white male peers, I always felt like a visitor being one of the few Black women I could see, so it never fully occurred to me to claim dance music as my music, as an artist, even though it was at the heart of my connection to music” stated Aluna.

‘Warrior’ is a bouncy house record that emits both artists’ styles throughout the 2 minutes and 45 seconds. SG Lewis’ tremendous production is the perfect backbone for Aluna’s incredible vocals. It was clear with their first collaboration that these two are a perfect match and that’s shown again with ‘Warrior’. Hopefully this isn’t the last we see of them together!
