“The Void,” is the collision of two talents on two unique paths in their career. Asher Shashaty and whoskevin? were clearly meant to work together, seeing as this single harmoniously links together the best of both their styles all in one track. “The Void,” is gritty and rough around the edges, showcasing a darker side of electronic, but still upholding a standard of what a quality dance music track should be. Future bass sidechains in the drops add a sense of drama to an already heavily somber vibe to begin with. There’s plenty of hooks to keep your attention zeroed in on track. As it progresses and this one leaves you with a feeling of wanting more of of what was just had. “The Void,” hits the spot in more ways than one.
Asher Shashaty is an artist not afraid to experiment with styles and sounds. Certainly a counter sonically to the mainstream, his dedication to his vision of originality has led to him boasting more longevity than most would who chose to go the easy route and sacrifice there authenticity.
whoskevin? is a Florida based multi-talent with much to offer. His focus is on alternative-rock, taking on the challenge of meshing his world with the world of electronic music with this particular collaboration. Utilizing a timbre which could be picked out of a line up, whoskevin? leaves plenty of the table to latch onto.
