On June 21, 2025, Audio Obscura will turn Amsterdam’s A10 highway into a one-day-only open-air rave. As part of the city’s 750th anniversary, the entire 17-kilometer ring road will shut down for Festival op de Ring, and Audio Obscura will host their event at the section near RAI Metro Station.
Called the Highway Rave, the event will feature nine hours of music and is free to attend. Tickets are limited but available to the public. The lineup will feature a series of back-to-back DJ sets designed to showcase the city’s underground scene while also celebrating its broader cultural history.
Audio Obscura is known for doing things differently. They’ve already held events at Amsterdam Central Station, the Rijksmuseum tunnel, and other unique spots around the city. Turning a major highway into a rave space takes things to the next level—and makes this one of their biggest undertakings yet.

The event is supported by CUPRA, a car brand that backs music projects through its CUPRA Music platform. To help cover costs, Audio Obscura is also teaming up with Applied Art Forms, a fashion brand started by Coldplay’s Guy Berryman. They’ll release a special-edition t-shirt for €75, with all proceeds going directly to the event.
Highway Rave is more than just a party—it marks a rare collaboration between city organizers, cultural institutions, and the electronic music community. Free tickets go live May 21 at 10:00 AM CEST at www.audio-obscura.com/highway-rave.
