Electric Island and Electric Warehouse are set to transform Australia’s electronic music scene in April 2025 with a unique dual-format festival experience. Taking place over two weekends and spanning four cities, the events combine the raw energy of underground rave culture with the serene backdrop of Australia’s most stunning coastal locations, offering audiences an unparalleled celebration of music and atmosphere.
Electric Warehouse will debut on Friday, April 4, at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, followed by a second event at Melbourne’s PICA on Friday, April 11. Both venues promise an intense, industrial rave environment, with pulsing beats, dynamic lighting, and an atmosphere reminiscent of UK underground club culture. These events are designed to deliver a transportive and high-energy experience, setting the tone for a monumental month of music.
Electric Island, on the other hand, will take full advantage of Australia’s iconic beaches, with Perth’s Cottesloe Beach hosting the festival on Saturday, April 5, and Adelaide’s Glenelg Beach following on Saturday, April 12. Blending the spirit of Ibiza and Bali’s renowned beach clubs with local coastal charm, the festival offers a unique opportunity to experience electronic music against a breathtaking ocean backdrop.
Headlining the events are internationally acclaimed artists Duke Dumont and Hayden James. Duke Dumont, known for global hits such as ‘Ocean Drive’ and ‘I Got U,’ returns to Australia for the first time in three years, bringing his signature mix of house grooves and infectious melodies. Hayden James, one of Australia’s most celebrated electronic artists, will deliver performances featuring tracks from his 2024 album We Could Be Love, alongside his multi-Platinum classics ‘Just Friends’ and ‘Numb.’
Joining them across the festival series are UK progressive house duo Trilucid, who promise an immersive live experience, and house music icons Eli & Fur, who will perform in Perth, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Swiss deep-house sensation Nora En Pure will take the stage at Glenelg Beach, delivering her signature hypnotic sound, while Melbourne’s Market Memories are set to electrify PICA with their high-energy sets. This diverse lineup reflects a commitment to showcasing both global talent and local favourites.
The Electric series builds on the legacy of the long-running Electric Gardens festival, which returned in 2024 after a pandemic hiatus. The team behind the festival has expanded its vision, creating two distinct yet complementary event experiences that celebrate the depth and diversity of electronic music.
