Axwell Returns to Axtone Following Sale with CARMA Collaboration ‘Until The Lights Go Out’

Axwell has officially released his long-awaited new single ‘Until The Lights Go Out’ with UK duo CARMA. The track, which first surfaced during his 2024 Ultra Europe set, has since become a standout in his live shows, gradually refined as he chased what he calls the “final 20%.” CARMA, comprised of James Carter and Tom Martin, bring their billion-plus streams to the collaboration, helping craft a fresh, melodic house cut already resonating with fans.

The single also marks Axwell’s first solo release on Axtone since 2018’s ‘Nobody Else’ and comes at a pivotal time for the label. Earlier this year, Axwell sold Axtone, the imprint he founded and shaped for nearly two decades. While no longer the owner, he remains creatively connected, with ‘Until The Lights Go Out’ symbolising both a return and a new phase. The track follows his solo set at Ultra Miami in March, where it featured alongside unreleased IDs and classic favourites, quickly becoming a highlight online.

As Axtone approaches its 20th anniversary in 2025, ‘Until The Lights Go Out’ signals a forward-looking vision, pairing Axwell’s timeless production with fresh talent like CARMA.
