Axtone Records Sold to Pophouse Entertainment

Axtone Records is stepping into a new chapter as founder and DJ Axwell hands over the reins. The label, recognized for defining moments in electronic dance music, has been sold to Pophouse Entertainment. Along with the sale, Axwell has resigned from his role as Director, leaving fans and insiders curious about the label’s next steps. Pophouse, which manages industry giants like Avicii and Swedish House Mafia, now carries the responsibility of preserving Axtone’s legacy.

Axwell’s story began well before Axtone’s launch in 2005. As a pivotal member of Swedish House Mafia, his career has been marked by innovation and a commitment to audience connection. Axtone quickly emerged as a hub for standout collaborations, producing hits with artists such as Laidback Luke and Dirty South. Axwell’s leadership at the label positioned him as both a top-tier producer and a mentor to emerging talent. While his departure marks a shift, his influence within the genre remains firmly intact.

Axwell’s achievements are extensive, from guiding Swedish House Mafia to international stardom to building Axtone into a respected name in electronic music. With Pophouse Entertainment at the helm, Axtone’s celebrated past and future potential are poised to capture the attention of the global music community.
