Bad Eye Selects 4 Talents For Alluring ‘Aphotic EP Remixes’

Boston-based and rising quickly, Bad Eye have made a name for themselves with releases that make you think hard. Their expressive style takes in the more shady side of genres like trance and progressive/deep house. Putting their own twist into the fold which renders some conscience expanding vibes.

Their recent Aphotic EP, which released on label Understated @ Nite, has now received a unique touch from 4 different artists embracing a broadly familiar framework. LUNR, ASHE, Rhyot, and Barbosa each had their own vision to add, the first two flipping “One Who Is Many,” while the last two mentioned put their twist on, “Aphotic.”

They all add an expanded color and vibrancy to the experience. LUNR hones in on the arpeggios and showcases a more tech-house side within. A space-aged edge sense is felt throughout. ASHE amplifies a more progressive stance, getting technical with the percussion and adding in some noticeably trippy effects. In his remix, Rhyot gets dark and steady with the rhythm, pouring in some liquidly synths that keep you zoned in into his hypnotic ways. Sealing the deal, Barbosa closes with some of the most epic, hard-hitting house on the EP, very much leaning into the trance side of things.

Bay Eye sets the premise while 4 talents make the experience totally their own and in their lane. Aphotic EP Remixes is where it’s at when it comes to mind-boggling house.
