BIJOU ‘Six Shots’ Puts A Close On An Epic Year

Between his Stay Fly Tour, Spinnin’ Records releases, and handling his own label Do Not Duplicate Recordings, BIJOU has been a busy but successful man in 2022. The hard work has paid off, there being no doubt he’s stronger on all fronts, given the pinwheel of different areas he’s nurtured and grown.

“Six Shots,” is the final single of the year before the artists closes shop and decompresses. It releases on his own imprint Do Not Duplicate Recordings. The release grabs ones attention from the start, thick basslines and and a bright disposition consuming the senses from the get-go. Grooves layer on and punchy aspects begin to come in, adding more energy to the experience. The single fits in nicely to what we know about this talent, foreshadowing the sonic direction this gentleman is more than likely to pick up on come new year.

“I wrote this record 8 months ago with the intention of it lighting up the festival stages all summer long. It did just that with better reaction than I even anticipated with it also lighting up the clubs. The goal was to write an infectious baseline to get every person on the dance floor shuffling their asses off. The steel drum lead gives it an island summer vibe to compliment the short but sweet vocal loop. The vocal gives off confidence and I wanted to give every person that same feeling letting them know that they’re meant to be here and are the truth. I’m super stoked for this one to finally hit the airwaves and spread worldwide.”
