Australia has gone through much praise for harnessing some of the brightest talents in this era of electronic music. Clearly must be something in the water as the land down under is simply oozing with creativity. A great example comes in the form of JP Orchison, mostly known as Blanke.
In just 3 years, JP has taken the Blanke project from his native Australia to the World, making the move from Sydney to Los Angeles in early 2019. His exciting take on midtempo has thrived as great as anyone’s ever seen or heard. The producer has won the hearts of many for brandishing an energetic, yet gritty sound that is hard to ignore. As the dominoes continue to fall for the ambitious producer, one of his greatest achievements so far have been presented to us in the form of his “Change & Decay” EP.
The 4-track project arrives in good faith on Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats imprint. Featuring cameos from GG Magree and REAPER, this record exemplifies and echoes everything Blanke aims to be.
