“BLVD” Teases a Bold New Musical Future for CARA and The Kronicles

American pop-trap singer-songwriter CARA is returning to music after a hiatus. Previously, CARA garnered immense success and acclaim after releasing several songs, including “Away from You, Jump Smokers Remix,” and “FIGHT,” her official remake of the Beastie Boys’ “Fight for Your Right to Party,” which was licensed by SONY ATV and approved by The Beastie Boys and American record executive and producer Rick Rubin.

CARA was also a KUSHSTOCK-featured performer and a featured guest and musical performer on Bravo TV’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

Returning to the Music Industry

After devastating personal losses, CARA is returning to the music industry and is currently recording her debut album, The Kronicles, at Orb Recording Studios. The album is set to be released in 2025, with its first single, “BLVD,” to be distributed nationally in September 2024. “BLVD” embodies CARA’s fearless approach to music and independence as she fully controls her artistry while building anticipation for The Kronicles.

The Kronicles, set for release in 2025, will offer fans an authentic look into CARA’s personal life and challenges, blending genres to create a unique listening experience. With “BLVD,” CARA is offering audiences around the globe a glimpse behind the curtain of her creative process. The single showcases the raw emotionality and lyrical dynamism listeners will find in spades when they hear The Kronicles in full next year.

Making Music Entirely Her Own

CARA is the sole executive producer of “BLVD” and her entire album. Coming back from her hiatus, CARA prioritized having independence and leadership as an artist, which led to her taking complete control of her new creative direction with “BLVD.”

So while the production will be of the highest quality, with CARA recording the album at the often sought-after Orb Recording Studios (where artists such as Justin Bieber have recorded some of their biggest hits), the creative drive behind the professional polish is entirely CARA’s own. This carries over into even the most distinct details in the instrumentation and production of “BLVD” and other tracks on the album.

For example, CARA even included a flute solo, played entirely by CARA herself, in “BLVD,” which gives the track a distinctive, personal touch and sets it apart from conventional pop-trap songs.

CARA says, “My name is the only owner of this entire song, I have executive produced this album on my own. I put it all together myself.”

Remembering Gangsta Boo

The Kronicles will also include a collaboration with the late Gangsta Boo of Three 6 Mafia. As CARA puts it, the collaboration was born from their close friendship and mutual respect. “Gangsta Boo and I met on Instagram, believe it or not, and we became fast friends. We first started discussing the cannabis I was growing because we both had a passion for it and then we immediately went into music and our love for it. I grew up listening to her inspiring me, so this was amazing for me, to have an idol I grew up listening to, mentoring me.”

CARA’s Triumphant Return

CARA’s latest single, “BLVD,” marks her resurgence in the music industry. It blends bold self-expression with a pop-trap sound and previews her introspective album, The Kronicles, coming in 2025. Fusing numerous genres to find new sonic avenues, “BLVD” blends the best of pop and trap. The result is a track that reflects CARA’s innovative sound and appeals to a broad audience with its catchy yet edgy vibe.
