Bülow Drops Music Video For Catchy Bop, “Boys Will Be Boys”

A relative newcomer to the ever-changing world of pop, German-born, Toronto-based sensation bülow has made her mark with her innovative singles, raw with emotion and upbeat with dynamic percussion. You might have heard her on The Chainsmokers’ hit single, “Do You Mean” with Ty Dolla $ign, but her most recent release came last month, as she unleashed a five-track ‘The Contender’ EP. Its most successful single, ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ makes a return with the release of an accompanying music video to the airy single.

A defiant, yet nonchalant, tune against the ‘pretty boys’ who play with hearts, “Boys Will Be Boys” features cheery, upbeat production which contrasts starkly against the sentimental lyrics, highlighting them further. The video features bülow muttering the lyrics through a shell-shocked, still visage, shot across a variety of different settings. Definitely among the more creative videos out there, this song is one whose video must be watched to be experienced in full.

bülow comments on the making of the video, “I love creating with people that have a unique eye. The process needs to be fun, so being inspired by each other’s work is important, and I found that with James ”

Director James DeFina has been responsible for videos such as Post Malone and TY Dollar $ign’s ‘Psycho’, Rich Brian’s ‘Glow Like That’, as well as working with both artists on other projects he’s shot for A$AP Rocky, Deadmau5, Skrillex, Chainsmokers and more.
