Caroline Roxy Releases Summer Anthem ‘High on Love’

Stockholm’s Caroline Roxy brings her latest release ‘High on Love’ to LoudKult. Nebular synths, the incendiary kick and snare as well as Caroline’s bright vocals explode throughout the production.

Since starting out as a DJ, Caroline has amassed a staggering 285K Instagram followers as well as residencies in Ibiza, London and Berlin and mainstage performances at Summerburst, Lollapalooza and the Lots of Love festival.

In 2018, Caroline shifted her focus into music making, producing a string of singles – with ‘High on Love’ being the forth. The three before have grown to an impressive 1.45 million streams just on Spotify.

Roxy teamed up with Discrete and Chris Collins in the studio last month. The three wrote and Discrete, whose own artist project boasts a quarter million monthly listeners, also contributed to the production; they soon emerged with this dance track. Together, they revisit a bygone era; hyper-rhythmic instrumentation imitates the summer anthems played along the Riviera beaches during the 90s.

On the ‘High on Love’ songwriting process, Roxy explains, “Discrete, Collins and I wanted to write a song that contrasted with the current musical landscape. Chords led to a fuller production, which in turn inspired the melody and upbeat lyric. Musings on that untainted kind of love left us with a finished track within a day.”
