Chromeo Launch New Label Juliet Records, Kicking Off With Ian Isiah’s Soulful Single ‘N.U.T.S’

Chromeo has spent 15 years in the music game, the group has been responsible for a wide range of funky records including four albums and dozens of remixes. Today they are jumping into a new phase with the launch of their label Juliet Records. Starting off with a bang the inaugural release comes from their friend, Ian Isiah and it’s his taken off a new project which Chromeo produced.

Speaking on the new imprint Chromeo reveal, “We want to foster, mentor, and encourage new talent. We’re fortunate to know so many gifted musicians, the least we could do is offer them a platform”. They further promise that releases on Juliet will be “devoid of any type of A&R feedback or algorithmic considerations”.

Chromeo makes it known that label releases will be “strictly soulful, grooves from the heart”, and with Isiah’s ‘N.U.T.S’ that’s exactly what we have. The fiery R&B artist returns after a 2-year hiatus since his Shugga Sextape Vol. 1 in 2018 to lay down the funk as he struts the streets of New York in his grey Suit jacket, transporting us back a few decades and lathering us in Brooklyn nostalgia.

If you’re digging the vibes of this you can catch a lot more from him as his new project AUNTIE, produced by Chromeo. So what are you waiting for?. Hit play on “N.U.T.S (N*GG* YOU THE SH*T),” and take a peek at the trailer, below.
