Contemporary Jazz Heavyweights Collab on “The Way You Look Tonight”

Keyboardist Nathan Mitchell and Saxophonist Quintin Gerard W. are two of smooth jazz’s biggest stars. They both have notched multiple Billboard #1s.  Mitchell is a Grammy nominated, 3 times NAACP Image Award nominated, and Billboard charting artist with 10 top 30 Billboard hits including three #1 Billboard songs.

Gerard W. is a “Break Out Artist of the Year Nominee” and a three-time back-to-back #1 Billboard Contemporary/Smooth Jazz Airplay charting artist with a combined 5 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Airplay Chart.

Both are considered masters of their craft, and innovators on the contemporary jazz scene.

It’s musical fireworks then, when these two urban jazz legends unite on the new single “The Way You Look Tonight”.  They bring their signature grooves to this Frank Sinatra classic, giving it a smooth jazz makeover.  In Georgi Manga’s fun and funky fresh arrangement of the old standard, Mitchell tickles the keys with a playful energy, showcasing his trademark virtuoso agility.  And sax man Gerard W. glides all over the scale, showing off his syrupy smooth slides and trills.

Sweet, soothing vocals from Annie Malee lend a sensual vibe to the track.  The production by Malee is slick and suave, suiting the urban jazz genre perfectly.  It’s a must-listen track for contemporary jazz fans.
