Dance Destinations: Bali’s Best Pool Clubs

The Indonesian island of Bali has long been famed for its beautiful beaches, tantalizing local culture, serene views and friendly people. From the cliffs of Uluwatu, to the beaches in Seminyak and the monkey’s in Ubud, Bali is a playground if you know where to go.

While there is certainly plenty to offer in relaxation, sometimes you just want to hit play on some music while watching the sun go down with a drink in your hand. From Diplo and A$AP Rocky to Peggy Gou, we’ll tell you where the biggest artists head to, in search of quality sounds and good drinks.

Over the past decade, Bali has fast become a top music destination playing host to a variety of world-class events, artists, venues and experiences. Its now roaring club scene has produced some real hidden gems, with its own distinct twist that infuses the surroundings some might even say it’s the Ibiza of South East Asia.

Bali’s club scene once thrived off the streets of Kuta, now that’s the number one place to avoid unless you are fresh out of high school! With plenty of cool bars and day clubs to offer around town, here are what could be some of the finest pool, beach and cliff-side bars in the southern hemisphere.

Nusa Dua – $$$

This beach paradise only opened last year but in a short time, the venue has played host to the likes of A$AP Rocky, Jonas Blue, Galantis, as well as the mighty Elrow for it’s first-ever Bali show. The venue is located slightly away from the chaos, so when it’s business as usual Manarai is a paradise with a beautiful pool, amazing food and fresh cocktails.

Next up they have a set from RAC and are throwing Sunny Side Up festival which will see Flume, Grace Carter, Tokimonsta and Yahtzel performing along it’s beachfront. Manarai is owned and operated by the Ismaya Group who are behind some of the best live events and establishments in the country, such as DWP, Blowfish, Dragonfly and Skye in Jakarta.
