deadmau5 Releases New Video Game Meowingtons Simulator Via Oberhasli Studios

deadmau5 Launches Wild New Ragdoll Dance Game ‘Meowingtons Simulator’ on Steam

Electronic music icon deadmau5 has officially released Meowingtons Simulator, a chaotic new dance game starring his late cat, Meowingtons. Developed through his own Oberhasli Studios, the game is now available on Steam.

Players step into the paws of Meowingtons and take control of a feline dance party like no other. Described as a ragdoll dancing simulator, the game challenges players to move their cat avatar in sync with the beat; whether that means precision-timed choreography or hilariously uncoordinated flailing.

A Few Key Features:

  • Rhythm-Based Ragdoll Physics: Every movement is synced to the soundtrack, creating a bizarre but satisfying fusion of music and mayhem.
  • Unique Controls: Players can manipulate Meowingtons’ limbs, head, or rear using impulse sliders, flinging the cat into walls or mid-air poses in tune with the beat.
  • Character Customisation: Choose from various cat skins and unlock a range of accessories including chains, sunglasses, and deadmau5-style Mau5heads.
  • Multiplayer Mode: Host up to 7 friends in a private lobby and turn the dance floor into a full-blown feline rave, complete with proximity voice chat and shared chaos.
  • Custom Mau5head Builder: Collect cosmetic parts to design a personalised Mau5head that moves along with your character, enhancing both style and slapstick.

Zimmerman has previously blurred the lines between music, gaming, and digital identity through projects under his Oberhasli brand. With Meowingtons Simulator, he continues exploring interactive spaces while paying tribute to one of his most iconic companions.

Meowingtons Simulator is available now on PC via Steam.
