Deezer Releases Second Wave of Exclusive Mixes

To end February, our friends at Deezer released their second round of exclusive mixes. The followup to the incendiary mixes that included Mark Knight and Modeselektor now brings us mixes from Oliver Heldens, Above & Beyond, Danny Howard, and Fred V.

True to Deezer’s mission, these mixes will once again continue the promise of providing a fair share of revenues to each track owner within the mixes. It’s something truly great and revolutionary that we all can get behind as the DSP and digital technologies continue to become ingrained in the music ecosystem.

Another key component of these mixes is the ease to view the full mix tracklist, as well as, saving individual tracks. All users have to do is go to the tracklist, select a track that struck the right chord, and hit like to save it for future listenings. This feature proves once again, that Deezer has its users’ experience always in consideration as they build new tools, features, and everything in between.

To better understand what the featured artists bring to their mixes, Deezer provided us with these quotes:

Oliver Heldens, who said: “It was great to take a trip down memory lane to showcase the stand out releases on Heldeep as well as my own output over the last 18 months for this Deezer DJ Mix. I hope you all enjoy the mix as much as I did in putting it together – cheers to another year of amazing music in 2020!”

Above & Beyond, who said: “In our mix for Deezer, we’re winding back the clocks with an assortment of tried and tested selections from our Anjunabeats label. You’ll find the latest from label heroes like Grum, Genix, and Oliver Smith plus our own long-awaited remix of New Order’s timeless ‘Blue Monday’ Hope you enjoy the music.”

Danny Howard, who said: “It was really humbling putting together this mix for Deezer as it showcases the new sound of Nothing Else Matters records with already released music, but also a preview of what’s to come with a couple of cheeky exclusives! I’m so proud of what we’ve done so far since our relaunch and thankful to the artists who trust us with their music, but also can’t wait for you to hear what we’ve got coming on the label this year, as well as some of my own music. But for now, enjoy the mix.”

Fred V – who said: “Really excited to have Deezer featuring this mix, it’s got a bunch of what I think are the best tracks to come out on Hospital as well as my new single ‘Away’”

Deezer’s Global Dance and Electronic Editor, Robin Wilms also had this to say about the new mixes:

I’m thrilled to have four more highly respected DJs making mixes for us. Danny Howard is a BBC radio icon and Oliver Heldens secured 7th place in last year’s DJ Mag Top 100. This release is mostly centered around house music, but still offers a lot of diverse sounds like Fred V’s chill drum & bass mix

In addition to the above features, each mix is available for offline play allowing the user access to the mixes even when mobile service disappears. Another excellent user-centric tool.

To stream the mixes, follow the link here. Be sure to give the new mixes a listen. The four hours of mixes is well worth the sonic experience.
