Boasting a full-length album, Digitalz is going big with a full-fledge album titled Imaginary Love. Having not released much since 2017, Digitalz returned in 2019 with a trickling of well branded singles. Now in 2021, something extensive, defining, and time-testing has come together in Imaginary Love. Featuring collaborations with Annika Wells, Naomi Wild, and Mickey Shiloh, one will find there are many moods and themes that can be dialed into the Digitalz soundscape.
With plenty to enjoy within, there were a couple of tracks that jumped out as unique highlights. “Beg For It,” was one. Hard-hitting electronic styles and a multitude of vocalist certainly come into play here. Considering there are plenty of parts spinning around in one go, the risk of things panning out in a chaotic nature is there. Yet it all falls in line in an orderly fashion thanks to the well-defined construction of the track.
“Corner Of My Eye,” was another attention grabber. The all-instrumental framework speaks volumes through it’s eclectically-selected sampling and epic nature. The sonic nature at play is enough to send shivers down the spin with it’s absorbing mannerisms.
