Disclosure, one of dance music’s most successful production teams, has released their new single “She’s Gone, Dance On”. Known for a pop-oriented mix of house, garage, dubstep, and bass, Disclosure, the English siblings Guy and Howard Lawrence, first gained fame with their 2012 hit “Latch” featuring Sam Smith.
Raised in Surrey, England, they absorbed various music styles and created a unique modern sound. “Latch” propelled them into the mainstream, and with their major-label releases, Disclosure has firmly established their status in the dance music scene.
“She’s Gone, Dance On” is a perfect summertime hit, sampling a 1978 track by Ennio Morricone. The track gained attention when Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were seen dancing to it at Coachella.
A tune “just made for clubs and DJs” according to Disclosure, “She’s Gone, Dance On” is their first single since their album Alchemy. That record, released last year, included “Higher Than Ever Before,” which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording.
Their albums Settle and Caracal, featuring artists like AlunaGeorge and Mary J. Blige, topped charts and received Grammy nominations. They returned in 2020 with Energy and continued with the 2023 album Alchemy, showcasing a club-focused sound.
