The product from being in the studio together back in October is here. Disclosure and Zedd produce vastly different music, however worlds have collided with the group releasing the unnecessarily long titled ‘You’ve Got To Let Go If You Want To Be Free’.
Straight away you can tell the record is more in the Disclosure world of sounds, something that Zedd has been found of over the years. With a catchy hook that doubles as the title, the track swims through a funky house production that could find itself within any of Disclosure’s albums. The track does start off feeling very Disclosure-like, but that quickly changes in the second drop with Zedd bringing in more of his signature elements to create a glitchy and more electro based drop to the piano house production.
While the collaboration was unexpected, it great that it has come to fruition. The track is sure to see success thanks to the talents involved. It also marks the first official original from Zedd in over a year and a half, hopefully the Zedd release schedule will be back in swing for 2022.
