Dom Dolla Teams Up With Daya For ‘Dreamin’

Dom Dolla’s latest hit to be is here, together with Daya – ‘Dreamin’ lands as the debut on Dolla’s new record label Good Fortune. A memorable inclusion in his recent sets, ‘Dreamin’ features a simple yet effective melody alongside a catchy vocal. The result is something Dom has mastered, crafting simple records that have skyrocketed him to stardom.

Dom Dolla expressed how the track came to be: “This record is about the flow state you can find yourself in when everything is going a little too well… the moment you’re struck by a tiny sobering piece of doubt that niggles at your peace of mind,” he said. “The challenge I gave myself with this record was to write the simplest melody I could muster (that didn’t drive me nuts).”

Initially unsure that the track would be right for a collaboration with Daya, Dolla says he brought the track to the studio where he met her for the first time anyway. “She is truly a talent to be reckoned with and has the most incredible voice,” he says. “Initially, I thought such a simple melody would be wasted on a voice as great as hers, but she brought such character to the idea that it ended up being exactly what the record needed and then some.”

Daya explained: “I’m so glad I could help write and perform on this song— Dom is a master of his craft and it was exciting to dive into his world for it,” she says. “I hope people can embrace both the darkness and the levity in it all at once.”

2024 was an incredible year for Dom Dolla, who became Australia’s top-selling solo electronic artist with over 170,000 tickets sold on his record-breaking headline tour. His global takeover continues with a packed schedule, including back-to-back shows at Madison Square Garden, headline performances at Ultra Music Festival and Bonnaroo, and an ongoing residency at LIV Las Vegas.
