Duskus has signed his single “Holding U,” to none other than San Holo’s label bitbird. The track is a winner on many fronts, from the chipper percussion work that leads the way for the vocal and sample work to follow, to the eased mood it showcases. The disposition it presents is innately uplifting and leaves a lasting impression on those that dive in. “Holding U,” follows up “Hard Times,” which also released in 2021, the two having broad connective tissue that delivers a feeling of familiarity between them.
Duskus is influenced by UK garage, house, and musicians/groups such as the 1975, his style is one of a kind and could be picked out of a lineup and identified as his own.
Duskus kicked off the project in 2015, it wasn’t long after where he began to see success come his way.
More recently, Duskus joined San Holo on his album1 tour and ended up playing renowned venues such as Red Rocks, Melkweg, Exchange LA, and more. He released several times on bitbird, “Holding U,” more than likely not to be his last on the label.
