EDC Las Vegas Displays A Relentless Strive For Greatness In 2022 [REVIEW]

Another successful year spent under the electric sky, Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival once again proves why it remains atop the music festival hierarchy in North America. Having sat on top of the throne for many years, Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella has remained committed to greatness. Looking for every which way to improve the overall experience for EDC Las Vegas, an occasion that hosts over 150,000 attendees per day, the yearly contributions and experiments from the Insomniac and LiveNation team have been a testament to the festival’s dominance for the better part of the last decade. Having learned mistakes from the past, it is no surprise why the 3-day music festival continues to yearn for positive results time and time again.

Having adapted to the global pandemic, EDC Las Vegas 2022 was truly the first time we could confidently return to our regularly scheduled programming. With the introduction of a couple of expansions to the festival grounds with a couple of new stages, new media, artist, and VIP areas along with some eye-catching activities, EDC Las Vegas honed on making sure it brought ticket buyers a premier live experience. Aside from the world-class DJs putting on a show from dusk to dawn, I felt EDC really shined on its extracurricular activities. The carnival and games offered a great break from the crowds where you could let your inner child unravel. There was a blind dating show that took place in the middle of it all that allowed festivalgoers to put themselves out there in a tasteful and whimsical way. The Gopuff house proved itself the ultimate beacon for any and everything you could need whether you were out on the dancefloor or kicking back at Camp EDC. If you weren’t seeing anyone at a specific timeslot, there was always something to do and try. I felt the immersion at EDC Las Vegas was unlike anything else I have experienced in my life and for once understood why it is one of the best music festivals in North America.

A weekend filled with good vibes, high energy, and greater surprises, attendees were treated to a plethora of legacy-raising performances. Highlights would have to be Porter Robinson’s return to the Kinetic Field, Snoop Dogg’s cameo on the Cosmic Meadow, the debut of Kaskade and Deadmau5’s Kx5, and John Summit’s unreal set at Stereobloom. An incredible weekend curated at the helm of Insomniac Events, we cannot wait for the many ways the festival tries to reinvent itself as it continues to grow larger and larger by the year.

Tickets are soon to be on sale for the 2023 edition of EDC Las Vegas.
