ELEVATD Drops Jaw-Dropping 4-Track ‘The Plague Tapes, Vol. 1 ‘ EP

Dennis Castelan and Chris Clingingsmith, the two who make up heavy bass duo ELEVATD, have created the next iteration of their vision with The Plague Tapes, Vol. 1. This 4-track EP follows up the 2-track EP WAVEZ, with TPT Vol. 1 expanding and evolving the collection of sounds initially introduced through WAVEZ.

The Plague Tapes, Vol. 1. nails ELEVATD’s dark, wildly intense bass sound with creative arrangement, unique themes, and jaw-dropping sound design which is easily recognized to be their own vibe. Although there is a distinguishable common thread that makes the EP feel like unified message is coming through, each track has something distinctive to offer.

“Rise From The Dead,” fires off the journey with a focus on shredding bass and dark vibes, the track impresses with sheer power that’s not for the faint of heart. “Sweet Dreams,” takes a slightly more melodic approach and features untamed vocal samples that amp up what’s at hand. “Keep It Poppin'” displays a cinematic style within the filthy bass frame, piano chords blending with that hard hitting ELEVATD sound, surprising with a ‘less is more’ approach in the drops, the single is a diverse inclusion to the EP experience. “Critical Error,” closes the saga with an anthemic-like feel built in. The stomping synths lead right into a build up and drop which unleashes a fury of bass. The EP starts in a similar manner as it finishes, with unmerciful bass at the forefront with no regard to the safety of the listener.

The Plague Tapes will be followed by more music to come from bass-loving animals ELEVATD.
