Episode 2 of Avicii ‘Stories on Stories’ series drops on YouTube: [WATCH]

Following on from Episode 1 of ‘Stories on Stories’, the official Avicii YouTube channel has now aired the second episode in the trilogy series, with this latest offering showcasing the creative process behind ‘Sunset Jesus’ as Avicii works with producer and songwriter Rami Yacoub, exploring ideas that would shape the track’s melodies and lyrics. The episode also features singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw, whose vocal performance added to the song’s emotional core. In the final version of the track, vocals were performed by Sandro Cavazza, as heard on the completed ‘Stories’ album, which turned 10 years old earlier this year following an initial release in Autumn 2015.

The ‘Stories on Stories’ doc-series is designed to give Avicii fans a glimpse into Tim’s creative process, following his every move in the studio in granular detail, as he fleshes out ideas into instrumentals and melodies in a way that only he could. The Swedish producer was widely regarded as a genius, and delivered a wide plethora of timeless tracks up until his death in April 2018. The ‘Stories’ album was one of the proudest collections of work in the Avicii catalogue, with Tim himself openly praising how much creative freedom he enjoyed on his sophomore release, following on from the EDM & country/blues inspired sounds of ‘True’ in 2013.
