Feyln Signs Progressive-Tech ‘Culpas’ EP To Emercive Recordings

If you are looking for something to help you feel feelings all over again, look no further than the fast rising Feyln. Culpas EP stitches together 4 releases that ride the line between melodic techno, deep house, and progressive house, taking advantage of the space between the two with diverse songs that hit the spot.

Released on Canadian label Emercive Recordings, each single within brings to life a unique theme, with a 128bpm framework being a theme of relativity that allows the totality of the EP to feel brought together. “Burn” starts out airy and adventurous, a progressive house instrumental ride with splashes of vocal samples blended in. Electronic instruments and tight percussion slide in and out at elating moments to make the track hit just right. With the first impression finished, “I Can Fever,” goes one deeper, boasting a more raw atmosphere the will ignite the night. The single shares a more minimalist feel and an elongated nature, which is a plus when it comes to letting house fully set in. “Square Waves,” is a personal favorite, bellowing growls bring out the darker side of the EP here, Feyln truly showing his chops on this one. The shimmer percussion and the energy level is on what feels like a non-stop rise – echoed, sustained horns adding to that feeling of ascension. Masquerada caps off Culpas EP as the journey begins to come to a close – not to hard, not to gentle is one takeaway that stuck with me on this one. It’s distinct in it’s own in a righteous manner, yet rides a middle ground that allows reflection on what just hit you across the ladder tracks.

The Toronto-based artist is far from his first release, with his Spotify-alone boasting more than 250,000+ plays and 100,000+ monthly listeners. Seems like high-portion of fans stick around once they get a taste of Feyln. Culpas EP is well-worth the listen and nails an original vibe that’s totally him.
