Flume Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Debut Album With ‘Slugger 1.4’

Following on from his TikTok livestream celebrating the 10th anniversary of his self-titled debut album, Flume has released ‘Slugger 1.4 [2014 Export.WAV]’ a track that didn’t make it onto the original album and has now been resurrected. Less than a week ago, Flume announced that he was uncovering old songs after he found the laptop he used to create his debut album, Flume.

“Made this one in Paris – always loved this demo but it never quite made it onto an album,” Flume says. “I figured now that it’s 10 years since my first album was released it would be a good time to share. Hope you like it.”

The 10-year-old LP was incredibly impactful in the dance music world and kicked off what has been a very fruitful career for the Aussie.

Flume will cap a busy year with the Australian leg of his world tour, which kicks off this Friday in Perth. The tour will culminate with several Spilt Milk Festival appearances at the beginning of December. It will be his first shows in his home country since 2019.
