Gillian Drops Bright New Single “static”

16-year-old singer and songwriter Gillian undoubtedly displays wisdom and emotion far beyond her years of age. The young talent released her impressive single “high” earlier in 2020, that followed her debut independent EP Unfiltered last year, and now has returned with yet another gem, releasing bright pop single “static”.

Taken off Gillian’s forthcoming debut album 3AM, scheduled for release later this year, “static” is a truly stunning pop record. While Gillian displays her vocal range and talents over a minimal, piano-driven instrumental, the essence of the track is clear. Within the 4 minute duration, the Boston-based artist offers emotional melancholic lines that are as relatable as they are well-thought-out.

“I actually wrote ‘Static’ minutes before leaving my house to go out with my friends… I didn’t want to go, but I also didn’t want to miss out,” revealed Gillian about the track.
