Gorgon City today released their third album; Olympia. With a number of already released hits included, the album is already sitting above 90 million streams.
The 18 track is certainly a treat for fans, wrapping up a bunch of new music together with their recent singles. With the help of a slew of vocal talents, Gorgon City have created a number of track perfect for the club as well as more suited to be a feel good summer anthem. Eleven different singers appear across Olympia, exploring primordial themes of love and loss over an array of euphoric piano anthems (on the Hayley May-assisted ‘Never Let Me Down’), driving bass-lines (‘Dreams’ with Jem Cooke), and woozy melancholic house (‘Nobody’ with DRAMA). Together with immaculate productions and killer melodies, Gorgon City have the recipe for an incredible album.
Speaking on Olympia Gorgon City say, “With this record we’ve definitely gone more clubby and have been inspired by the big shows that we played before lockdown. It’s a bigger sound and lyrically it’s different for us”.
