Hayden James Drops Single ‘Hold Tight’ From Upcoming Album ‘Lifted’

The man, the myth, the legend Hayden James has dropped a single ‘Lifted’ off of his highly anticipated 2nd album. On top of this, a massive North American tour will go into effect come Spring and Summer. The album is set to release April 8th on established electronic music label Future Classic.

The solo artist aimed to make upbeat, feel-good tunes that would help fans put the pandemic behind them and get them back into having good times. The single absolutely radiates this sentiment setting a precedent that the album, which will feature 8 more tracks, will expand on this type of warm-feeling vibe.

On the topic of ‘Hold Tight’ Hayden adds: “This is a big summertime piano house record that took a while to perfect but once it was done I knew it would fit the vibe of the album perfectly. I also really love the meaning of the song, which is about two people who are drifting away at moments but come back to realize what’s important. I like people to figure out songs themselves, I don’t like to go ‘this is what this song is specifically about’, because there’s so many different meanings that people take away, so many different lessons from different songs. But this one, it feels like such a strong call to hang in there, and get back to what you love doing or back to that person you love and just hold tight.”

Hayden James has been around the block when it comes to high success, he’s collaborated with Icona Pop, Boy Matthews, Gorgon City, Nat Dunn, GRAACE, and Crooked Colours and many other well-recognized names. On the live show front he’s performed at NY’s Webster Hall, LA’s Fonda Theatre, Amsterdam’s Paradiso, and on top of several other spots internationally.
