Helix Wins Dannic Competition With Hard Hitting Remix

Hailing from Florence, Italy – Elia Paoli aka Helix is a 14 year old producer who is making waves in the dance music scene. With support from Kryder, Sunstars, Saberz and most recently Dannic having won his ‘Tenderlove‘ Remix Competition.

Dannic presented the opportunity for producers to remix his Spinnin’ Records release ‘Tenderlove‘ and be featured on his Soundcloud and on his radio show. With a large number of submission, Helix’s quality stood out against the competition. The remix features a unique hard hitting drop, almost a mix between the classic big room sound and a gritty bass house sound.

We asked Helix a few questions about his newly established career and winning the Dannic remix competition.

Being such a talented producer at the age of 14 is no small feat, how did you learn?

Thank you so much !!! I started producing almost 1 year and a half ago and I learnt a lot from tutorials on youtube and Producers’ masterclasses during ADE.

What inspired the Dannic remix, are you a big fan?

Dannic had been running a remix competition where the producers had the opportunity to remix his single ‘Tenderlove’ and I immediately downloaded the stems and I started making the remix. Also Dannic has been one of the first artists I’ve ever listened to when I started becoming interested in EDM and my favorite song from him is ‘NRG’.

What can we expect next from you?

My biggest goals so far for this year are making people happy with my music and to develop my new style, which is called HXhouse, and you can expect a lot of fresh new music in the next months!

We have heard a lot about your manager? What has he done?

My manager, Andrea Malenchini, is helping me a lot, with promos, contacts, motivation and as well with his experience he suggested me to start producing a new sound and not following the ‘mass’ with common sounds. He’s one of the people who has always believed in me since the very beginning.
