ILLfest 2022: Austin’s Roadmap For All Things Dance Music

Labor day weekend brought a flurry of festival goers the ample opportunity to enjoy some live music. With a couple major festivals headlining various corners of the world Austin’s ILLfest Music & Arts festival stood out for multiple reasons. Taking place at the Circuit Of Americas, ILLfest 2022 welcomed ticket buyers to a massive festival site that was vibrant, colorful, and provided an open-air backdrop that was worth the photo-ops.

Having invited over 30 muralists and street performers, you were able to view the artists live in action as they painted murals across the dancefloors, giving you something else to admire from just the music over the weekend. As you take in the creative portions behind the spectacle, you will find yourself standing or dancing next to someone in high spirits. As Austin continues to expand its investment into its blossoming music scene, I found the community leading the charge incredibly welcoming. ILLfest felt like something you can call home.

Surrounded by local artists and vendors, you’ll find yourself busy until the night falls and you’re taken aback by the haul of talent booked to share the night with. Incredible performances from Madeon, Deathpact, Getter, So Tuff So Cute, TSU NAMI, and many more that stood out, it will be fascinating to see the parallels of Austin’s music scene continue to reach newer heights along with the continuous growth of ILLfest.

ILLfest 2023 will be a sight to see and we highly recommend heading south for your next Labor Day getaway.
