An Inside Look at Steve Aoki & Dim Mak’s EDC Week Ft. Don Diablo, Kayzo, QUIX, Bijou, Timmy Trumpet & More.

It’s not often one of the biggest Music Festivals takes place down the road from the home of one of its headliners. For Steve Aoki however, the Las Vegas-situated Electric Daisy Carnival couldn’t have been a better opportunity to make use of his aptly named home ‘Aoki’s Playhouse’.

EDC and Aoki’s DIM MAK imprint have an important connection given they were both born out of Los Angeles and have a long history of cultivating its dance music culture. At the final EDC in Los Angeles in 2010, the Cosmic Meadow stage was presented by DIM MAK with a line up that included Armand Van Helden, Travis x A-Trak, Jack Beats, Steve Aoki, Bart B More and Dada Life among others.

This year DIM MAK and Steve made full use of his ‘Playhouse’…and the entire city, all week long. In this 9 minute long recap, DIM MAK give us a look back on the busy EDC week. See what goes on around Steve’s 16,000 square-foot ‘Playhouse’ which has surprises at every corner and watch the artists and Steve play to wild crowds at EDC, Wet Republic and Hakkassan.

With a tonne of guest appearances throughout the clip, it’s filled with fun moments such as an intense table tennis match with Don Diablo, jumping into his foam pit with Kayzo & Don, Green Tea with the Shinoda‘s and riffing on a Guitar with Nicky Romero. It’s an entertaining behind the scenes look at one of the biggest Independent labels and Artists during arguably America’s biggest dance event, rivalling that of Miami Music Week.

The video is also packed with high energy moments from the EDC performances of Steve and the Dim Mak roster QUIX, TISOKI, Riot Ten, Kaleena Zanders, BIJOU and the WET Republic take over with Two Friends, BIJOU, Max Styler and Prince Fox.

As you listen through, you’ll be blasted with an infectious soundtrack of the latest and greatest releases on DIM MAK, including a killer first track ‘Back Now’ from Australian signee Godlands, juicy house goodness from BIJOU and the iconic remix of Warp from Kayzo and Steve. You’ll also get a preview of Steve Aoki’s unreleased Timmy Trumpet collaboration ‘Hava’ which they played live at EDC.
