Jason Ross Drops First Set Of Remixes For Debut Album, ‘1000 Faces’

Following a successful quarter-year-old debut album, melodic bass maestro Jason Ross has released the first of two sets of inventive takes on his records, courtesy of AWAKEND, Just A Gent and Matt Fax. The diversity in these three reworks embodies the diversity on ‘1000 Faces’ itself; AWAKEND goes the melodic bass route, Just A Gent dabbles with experimental trap, while Matt Fax employs his progressive house charm.

To those who don’t find themselves immersed in the EDM circles, these names might be unfamiliar, but they are sure to make an indelible impression on you. Just A Gent reinvents the ambient ‘Leave Me To Wonder’ into a 808-filled, eerie soundscape, with samples from the original abound. Meanwhile, AWAKEND proves himself as a name to be reckoned with in the melodic bass genre, with a lilting and charming take on a hit single, ‘When The Night Falls’. Lastly, ahead of his LP this Friday, Matt Fax tackles the titular track with a simple yet memorable melody and a gritty bassline that’ll keep you engrossed for four minutes straight.

Keep your eyes peeled for the second part to the ‘1000 Faces’ remixes that’s right over the horizon.
