Birmingham’s very own Joey McCrilley is steadily becoming a household name in the UK house scene with bright singles such as “Bump Like This”, “Get It On Hold” and “Your Loving”. The young talent has been releasing music for some time now and is finally getting the recognition he deserves, getting to play multiple shows throughout the UK and Europe, debuting on BBC Radio 1Xtra, as well as being enlisted to remix the likes of Jeniffer Hudson (Sony), Maverick Sabre (Virgin Records) and Years & Years (Universal).
Now, after a recent No. 1 on Beatport House Top 100, Joey McCrilley is back with his second original release this year, dancefloor-ready “Eyes”. An instant house anthem, “Eyes” is driven by smooth electric guitar melodies, hard-hitting kicks, and irresistible grooves, topped off with intoxicating vocal lines.
“With “Eyes” I wanted to make something fun and uplifting,” explained Joey McCrilley. “I’m influenced heavily by early Hed Kandi classics, Room 5 and Junior Jack, and I wanted to come up with something that represents my love for this music and the styles I love the most.”
