John Summit Flexes Production Talents With Debut Album ‘Comfort In Chaos’

John Summit, who is one of the most exciting artists in the dance music world right now, continues that fanfare with the release of his debut album Comfort In Chaos. The 12-track project goes further than the typical house records that he originally outputted and sees the Chicago-born DJ dive into drum and bass and other genres. Comfort In Chaos is a perfect label for John Summit and his LP, the chaos comes as he tours the globe with a hectic schedule, to some this is true chaos, but Summit relishes this incredible job and journey, being his comfort.

In “Comfort in Chaos,” Summit unveils the man behind the icon, infusing his signature body-centric approach to dance music with heartfelt emotion. Striving to push his musical and emotional boundaries, Summit explores aspects of his identity that may not be immediately evident to many fans. Both long-time followers and new listeners will discover moments of exceptional beauty and hedonism throughout the album. It pays homage to Summit’s foundational Chicago house roots while also delving into UK-influenced genres he adores, such as garage, liquid, and dancefloor drum & bass.

There are two tracks of note that are new within the LP, ‘Tears’ together with Paige Cavell continues Summit’s exploration into thrilling progressive house with outstanding vocals. ‘Tears’ is a goosebumps-inducing record that is up there with the likes of ‘Shiver’ and ‘Where You Are’. Additionally, the Elderbrook collaboration ‘Give Me Anything’ is sensational. The pair are a great match and make for a wonderful, uplifting number that is certainly a must-listen across the 12 records.

John Summit has been on a nonstop tear, currently on a high following his exhilarating, sold-out headline performance at Madison Square Garden (where tickets sold out two hours upon announcement earlier this year). That tear is sure to continue with the release of the album, which includes previously released singles that have garnered 200 million streams so far.
