Word on the grape vine – Julie elody’s debut EP is on the way

New Orleans’ singer songwriter Julie Elody is back in the studio and channeling her creative energy into a forthcoming EP, following the release of her fiery yet sentimental dance-pop track “Relatable.” With a natural inclination towards taking a bad situation and transforming it into a sonic triumph, “Relatable” follows suit, delving into the weighty topic of anxiety and a general sense of dissociation with those around you.

“Relatable, to me, is a follow up to every song I’ve written about my anxiety. All of those songs describe the struggle to be in control of my anxiety and emotions and feeling broken.” – Julie Elody

Through fiery vocals, catchy hooks and a foot stamping, Hip-Hop inspired surprise verse by Honorebel, “Relatable” is certainly one for your favourite party playlists! Recently paired with the refreshingly honest visuals that showcase Julie’s friends, family, fans and even a couple strangers, the charmingly grassroots official music video for the track adds an organic touch that makes the track … well … relatable.

We have it on good authority that budding songstress is again preparing to turn heads. In an exclusive with CULTR, Julie spoke of her upcoming plans and revealed that a debut EP was on the horizon.

“My management team is currently forming a release date and plan, but we want to give Relatable a chance to breathe. I am currently working on my first EP and things are going very well… Y’all will have to stay tuned for the details!” – Julie Elody
