Kaskade Has Cancelled Sunsoaked’s Third Edition

Kaskade’s Sun Soaked Festival grew from 12,000 in its first to 30,000 attendees in its second year, for the third instalment they sought to take it bigger than ever, partnering with Live Nation and expanding the summer destination to two days. Sadly however Kaskade took to social media today to announce the 2019 edition has been cancelled. Scheduled to take place July 13-14 in Long Beach it was to include a diverse line up of LogicGrimes, Brohug and Quinn XCII.

Citing the expansion plans in a message (see below), it appears some things havn’t gone to plan for the event despite efforts to find solutions. Calling it off would have been a difficult choice no doubt, but knowing it wouldn’t be the best experience for the attendees we can only commend Kaskade for making the decisions. It’s better to cancel than to risk damaging what is undoubtedly an amazing festival brand that we can only hope to see it back, bigger and better next year.
