Katile Drops Tasteful Dance-Pop Single “Say Sorry”

A massive talent on the rise, US-based singer/songwriter Katile is no newcomer to the music industry. Back in 2015, she was already developing herself as an artist alongside Grammy Award winning super-producer and singer Mark Hudson, while performing all over NYC, and landing mentions in The New York Post, Hollywood Life, Bravo and Time Out NY.

Following massively successful singles “So Caught Up” and “For You,” Katile (pronounced Katie Lee), has returned with her first release of this year, uplifting and relatable “Say Sorry.” A perfect combination of dance and pop sonics, “Say Sorry” tells the story of someone who is always apologizing for being themselves. Driven by a minimal melody paired with a driving beat and heavenly vocals, this latest single is one of Katile’s best to date, and we can’t wait to hear what the talent has coming up next.

“I wrote “Say Sorry” because I’m someone that is ALWAYS apologizing, my anxiety makes me feel the need to apologize for everything,” explains Katile. “From apologizing about my career path and sexuality to family to friends, when I should just say “thank you” – from the barista at Starbucks, to my cab driver, to everyone. I feel like a lot of people do this too, saying sorry all the time and I think we should all be proud of who we are, the choices we make, and own the space we take up. Nobody should be apologizing for just being themselves.”
