Kumarion’s “Want It” Receives Chaotic DnB Remix from Feed Me’s Alias, Spor

Sky-rocketing Bass producer Kumarion made a stamp on 2020 with his international hit, “Want It.” Today, the rising producer’s track received the ultimate co-sign from none other than Spor, the DnB alias of Feed Me.

Born in Seattle, WA, Omar Kadmiri (the man behind Kumarion) dove into music after becoming enraptured with the Drum & Bass (DnB) genre. The producer found admiration in the culture, as well as the chaotic style of Dub/Jungle Bass music. He began making dark, melodic music on his own, subsequently forging his current moniker, Kumarion, in 2015. “Want It” stole the show during the abrupt 2020 festival season while being played out by acts such as Boombox Cartel, CloZee, Feed Me, JOYRYDE, RL Grime, Louis the Child and Subtronics. To date, “Want It” has racked up over 400k plays on Spotify and has a playlist reach of 1.8 Million.

As mentioned, Spor is the side project of producer Jon Gooch, who is more prominently known as Feed Me. Gooch began Spor back in 2004, but has limited the projects releases and appearances since launching Feed Me in 2010. While Spor is beginning to pop up on various lineups and shows for 2021, this rare rework is a shining achievement for the up-and-coming Kadmiri.

“Kumarion’s breakthrough “Want It” introduced me to his genre-spanning sound, [so] the chance to put a DnB spin on some of his work seemed a nice way to bring a piece of music on its own transatlantic journey in a year where travel has been so infrequent,” said Spor.

Want It – Remixes offers various styles, sounds and speeds that effectively commemorate the true purpose of Kumarion, which is to balance aggression and harmony in its discovery towards forward-thinking music. With the community and contemporaries behind him, Kumarion is pledged to deliver dynamic art that contributes to continued prominence of drum & bass in America.
