Kygo Revives Donna Summer’s Classic Hit ‘Hot Stuff’

In the past 24 months, Kygo has delved more into covers, from ‘Higher Love’ with Whitney Houston to his most recent release ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’ with Tina Turner – both of which have unsurprisingly done extremely well.

Next up, the Norwegian producer has teamed up with the late Donna Summer to inject a fresh new dance beat into her 1979 hit ‘Hot Stuff’. The Queen of Disco’s original work, produced by the legendary Giorgio Moroder was an instant chart-topper, and would go on to earn a platinum RIAA certification and the Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance.

Kygo’s new version brings more energy and the result a track that will work really well through radio but will also work in a dance capacity, through Kygo’s DJ sets. The new production brings a bouncy sound design that allows the brilliant vocals and the original melody shine through. It’s another successful cover by Kygo.
