Kygo’s first 2021 offering is here. The Norwegian artist links with James Gillespie for a different type of record, one that leans more into the vocals and piano.
Kygo is known to delve outside of dance music but ‘Gone Are The Days’ may be the most outside of that world. He noted with this release that this will mark “a new chapter of music”. Given the lack of music recently and a new chapter coming, this may indicate a new album coming from Kygo.
Alongside the single, Kygo has included a piano version, which removes Gillespie’s vocals and of course, focuses on just the piano – something fans have been after.
Kygo had a notable 2020, releasing his Golden Hour album along with some successful covers, we’re excited to see what is next from camp Kygo.
