Kygo Preps For New Album and World Tour With ‘Without You’ feat. Hayla

Kygo and Hayla have created “Without You,” which has become a major hit in dance music this year. This track, full of heartfelt emotion, blends compelling lyrics with smooth dance rhythms. It’s released just before Kygo’s new self-titled album and his world tour, where Hayla will perform in various key cities.

Kygo, a Norwegian electronic music producer, is well-known globally for his mix of pop and progressive house. He gained popularity in the 2010s, becoming a leading figure in the tropical house genre. He remixed tracks like Seinabo Sey’s “Younger” and Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire.” His debut album, Cloud Nine, came out in 2016, achieving top positions in Europe and the U.S., and went multi-platinum in Norway due to the single “Firestone” featuring Conrad Sewell. He followed with hits like “It Ain’t Me” with Selena Gomez and “First Time” with Ellie Goulding. Kygo’s albums, including Kids in Love and Golden Hour, have kept him at the top in Norway. In 2022, he released his surprise fourth album, The Thrill of the Chase, which brought him back to the top of the dance charts. Recently, he released “Whatever” with Ava Max in 2024.

Born Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll in Singapore and growing up across different continents, Kygo found inspiration in Avicii. He began playing piano as a child and discovered electronic music as a teenager. After leaving college, he pursued music full-time, signing with Sony. His first single, “Firestone,” released in 2014, became a Top Ten hit in several countries. Successes like “Stole the Show” and “Nothing Left” solidified his place in the music scene.

The song “Without You” captures the essence of romantic longing with lines like “Our soul is a fire and your kisses feed the flames.” Hayla’s powerful imagery draws comparisons to the moon’s gravitational pull, “Just like the moon that pulls away, I’m only moved by your embrace.” The song’s peak moment comes with a stunning drop, where Kygo’s production and Hayla’s vocals dive deep into the theme of infatuation. “Without You” is set to enchant festival-goers, making them dream of that special connection under the moonlight.
