Ladytron Releases Uplifting Seventh Studio Album, ‘Time’s Arrow’

Banding together in the late 90s, Ladytron has been one of the leading artists of the electro-pop and electro-clash scenes for more than 20 years. Now, the Liverpool-based synth quartet is kicking off 2023 with the release of their seventh studio album, Time’s Arrow. Building on their project’s momentum, the unveiling of the compilation proceeds its first three singles, “City Of Angels”, “Misery Remember Me”, and “Faces”, along with two music videos. The infectious tracks have led to a high level of anticipation for the album and Time’s Arrow exceeds expectations.

With each song playing a role in the overall theme of Time’s Arrow, its focus track has got to be “Flight From Angkor”. Ladytron vocalist Mira Aroyo wrote “Flight From Angkor” and says, “the song is trying to capture a surge of endorphins, moments of tenderness, that cut through the white noise of everyday life.” This message can be heard throughout the rest of the album, highlighting the elation gained by freeing yourself from the constructs of society and living in the moment. “We must embrace the now, but always allow ourselves to dream,” shares Ladytron’s Helen Marnie.

Rounding out the album is its title track, which takes listeners on a mind-bending retrospective journey. Time’s Arrow comes at the perfect time, as Ladytron’s UK and US tours edge closer. In March, the quartet will hit Glasgow, Liverpool, and London. Then, they will bring their iconic live show to the West Coast, performing in LA, San Francisco, Portland, and more, with a special appearance at Just Like Heaven Festival on May 13th. Ladytron is guaranteed to deliver an incredible auditory experience, especially with the inclusion of Time’s Arrow.
