Land Del Rey Releases Cover Of Sublime’s “Doin’ Time”

World renowned songstress Lana Del Rey has this week released her amazing cover of Sublime’s iconic 1996 release “Doin’ Time” (via Interscope/Polydor). The new rendition was made for the Sublime documentary, which screened recently at the Tribeca Film Festival.

It’s a great new version to add to your chill listening, although it’s not a new line you there’s a happy coincidence you could infer through the lyrics of the song “Summertime, and the livin’s easy” and “All the people in the dance will agree”, these feel like words she could have written given her hit song Summertime Sadness blew up in the electronic world thanks to Cedric Gervais’ mix of the song.

Lana’s next album Norman Fucking Rockwell is anticipated for a release sometime this year. She has already revealed compelling tracks from it such as “Mariners Apartment Complex,” “Venice Bitch,” and “hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have – but i have it.”.
