Lane 8 Is At His Best With Beautiful Album ‘Reviver’

Lane 8 today releases his fourth album; Reviver. The Californian based artist kicks off the year with an unsurprisingly terrific project that lays the path for his upcoming North American tour.

When Lane 8 announced the album, he explained it would be his “most dancefloor focused album yet” and that rings true with an increase in energy felt throughout. Many of the songs throughout Reviver could certainly be played in a nightclub, contrasting to previous albums in which they focus on calming productions, the sound that Lane 8 has claimed, which does continue across many tracks on his new LP also.

‘Illuminate’ is a great example of the theme of the album, with delicate Lane 8 melody overlaid on a fiery energetic bassline. Something that could work for a 3am nightclub show and a day party.

The 13 track album comes with many collaborations with familiar faces from previous Lane 8 offerings. Emmit Fenn joins team Lane 8 for the brilliant ‘Red Lights’, a collaboration that hopefully doesn’t stop at one single.

Lane 8’s last full-length album came back in January 2020, Brightest Lights was a treat for fans and the entire dance community – a trend in which Reviver is set to continue.
